Christopher W D Gould founded Broadway Play Publishing Inc in 1982 after serving a three year apprenticeship at Samuel French Inc.

In 1990, he made a foray into play producing with PRELUDE TO A KISS, which ran over a year on Broadway and was nominated for a Tony award for Best Play. As a result of that experience, he was a Tony voter for ten years and had to see every show on Broadway. In 2001, he got involved in producing again, this time in partnership with Jeffrey Richards to revive THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (ABRIDGED) off-Broadway at the Century Center.

Mr Gould is on the board of The Vineyard Theater.

In other lives, Mr Gould has a wife, two sons and a daughter, a Certificat Elementaire from Le Cordon Bleu, sails, plays squash, and occasionally brews beer.
