playwright submission guidelines

we would love to publish your play, if you (the playwright) and your play fit ALL of the following:

1. you, the playwright, must be American-born and residing

2. play can not be in print anywhere else

3. play must be full-length (at lease one hour running time)

4. play must be contemporary in subject matter

5. play must be for at least two actors

6. play must have had a professional (Equity) production of at least twelve performances

7. there must be acceptable (by B P P I) COLOR artwork (no photos, sorry) which can be used for the cover of the book

8. there must be at least a few sentences from PRINT media that say good things about the play (essential for the back cover of the book)

so, if you and your play fit all of the above, e-mail the Publisher, Christopher Gould. Please have the subject line of your e-mail give both the title of the play (preferably in caps) and the name of the theater where it was produced. In the body of the e-mail please provide the print media quotes about the play. Please ATTACH an image of the artwork. We will get back to you promptly.

if you have an upcoming professional (Equity) production of at least twelve performances, and the producing theater is creating color artwork for the play, we would probably be interesting in publishing the play so that it can be sold during its run

if you and your play fit the first four parameters, and you are having a reading of your play in Manhattan, please e-mail the Publisher
